Document Shredding

The Northeast Missouri Sheltered Workshop has had a wonderful history of providing meaningful work for people with disabilities. Pallet work has slowed to an almost stand-still and we were forced to come up with a new alternative revenue source.

We are pleased to announce that we have found that source!

DOCUMENT SHREDDING

With identity theft at an all time high and HIPPA requirements, document shredding is becoming a must for many businesses. We want to provide this service to our community.

Here is how the process would work:
We provide pick up service with our enclosed truck. This truck has a padlock on the back which is only unlocked during loading and unloading. The documents are then brought back to the workshop where they are weighed. As soon as the documents are weighed, they are shredded. During the shredding process, we have cameras to provide peace of mind that our service is safe and secure. The taped session will be kept on file for 30 days. When the documents are shredded, the paper is dumped into a baler. We will also send out a certificate stating when your documents were shredded and how many pounds. Once enough paper is obtained to make a bale, the baled, shredded paper is transported to Quincy Recycling. We have also recently started picking up cardboard as well as documents.

We extend an invitation to anyone curious about our services to come out and watch the process. We will answer any and all questions you may have. Please don’t hesitate to call or stop by.

Our hours are from 7am to 2:30pm Monday thru Friday. Phone: (573) 221-3211 Fax: (573) 221-1321
